We provide a complete learning experience for students in the workforce. We call it “the VIM Way”.
As experienced facilitators of learning we believe:
– learning needs to be focused and well planned,
– quality learning has three components; the formal learning process, manager support and on the job experience,
– what gets measured gets done, and
– changes in skills, behaviour and knowledge require commitment from the trainer, student and their immediate manager.
We have enhanced existing learning models by incorporating a learner development plan process and the use of Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels of evaluation to measure the outcomes of the training. By doing this we increase the chances of delivering learning outcomes that add value to our clients by providing a complete learning experience.
“The VIM Way” adapts theory and practice from a variety of sources and contains the following ingredients:
1. Work with organizations and staff to establish real business needs and provide the best value adding learning solution.
2. Build a strong link between the student and their manager to transfer experience and knowledge and to ensure learning support ( Development plan).
3. Develop action learning projects to reinforce theory and concepts; utilize critical reflection; draw on experiences; and accentuate the importance of practical application and implementation.( Kolb learning model).
4. Measure the outcomes of the learning. (Kirkpatrick)
