Our Board Members – Victorian Institute of Management is owned by Inner Eastern Group Training (RTO3872)
As a not for profit organisation, ieGT is governed by a Board consisting of six members.
ieGT Board members for 2016 are listed below.

John Davis worked for VicRoads for over thirty years with experience in land acquisition and property, human resource management and career development. John brings a wealth of hr and good governance experience to the Board

Michael McQuillen is the CEO and Secretary of ieGT. He has held executive positions in Government with VicRoads, Office of Training and Further Education and Police. He has been a member of 5 Industry training Accreditation Boards and 6 Industry Training Boards. He was the original Chair of the Curriculum Board of Victoria and has managed training functions in the public sector. Since 2000 Michael has conducted a private consulting business.

John McNally has extensive experience in the Information technology and Management sector. John had over 20 years experience in IT with VicRoads where he occupied the position of Chief Information Officer. John now runs his own consulting business and is an associate of a consulting firm called Five Nines.

Carol Bate has experience in the food industry both as a public servant and in private industry. Carol is a previous CEO of Gardiner Institute and worked as a consultant to the food industry in the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. Carol also has a good network in the philanthropic industry.

Jeff Coath is a qualified engineer who worked for 30 years with SEC and VicRoads. Jeff has sound experience in public sector management and holds a Master of Business Administration qualification.

Tom Thorpe is an original Board member from the 1980s and has extensive experience in local government having been the Mayor of Box Hill on three occasions. Tom has a good knowledge of the operations of local government and adds value with his knowledge of history of group training and the operation of the RTO.
